The town of Vodice was named by the springs of water ("voda" meaning water). The name was mentioned for the first time in a document from 15 th. century.
The builder Ivan Skok had constructed the present parish St. Cross church in the 18 th. century. The old St. Cross church from the 15 th. century as numerous other little churches and chapels fit well into the environmental values of the architectural in heritage of this region.
